A fire broke out again in Croatia, this time on the island of Vir. An extensive fire broke out in the settlement of Lozice on Monday afternoon. As can be seen from the videos and photos, thick smoke is billowing from the island, and the Canadians are already at work.
After last week’s fire broke out in many Croatian towns where Slovenians also vacation, including Pula, Novigrad, Pašman and Knin, the fire also broke out on the island of Vir.
Locals report that there is a fire near the cemetery.
“Two Canadairs are helping us, the houses are secured, the fire is now going in the other direction, away from the houses. The dense pine forest is burning,” is reportedly Dnevnik.hr told Matej Rudič. He explained that there are several volunteer fire brigades on the ground, as well as the Zadar fire brigade and the state intervention unit.
He also said that the fire should be under control soon.

A huge fire broke out in the hinterland of Novigrad on the west coast of Croatian Istria on Thursday evening.
