Dušan Smodej, who has received numerous accusations of sexual assault on social networks, admitted in an interview for the Tarča show on TV Slovenija that he and Roman Uranjek had similar sexual fantasies. “We saw each other that night before his suicide, but I cannot come to any conclusions about the reasons for his suicide,” said Smodej. As he explained, the police have not yet visited him.

“No, the police did not visit me, all I know about this investigation is what I read in the media,” said Smodej, who denies that he ever forced any girl into involuntary sex.

However, Smodej does not deny some of the deviant messages he sent to girls.

“Here we’re talking about one specific record that, yes, is true, but it’s some sexual fantasy that’s part of some longer conversation, taken out of context. But like I said, it’s a fantasy, we all kind of have fantasies that whether we realize them or not, I’m not you. My sex life is definitely quite exciting or unusual. I’ve had many different sexual experiences,” Smodej said regarding the above note.

He explained that he was with the artist Roman Uranjek very good friends and that they had similar sexual fantasies. The last time they saw each other was the night before his suicide.

“We talked about my problem, about the fact that I probably have to leave Slovenia for a while, he gave me some support. We didn’t talk about it very much,” he said, adding: “So about the problem that I was accused of whatever I’ve been accused of, and that it’s not going to go away on its own and that I just have to go for a while.”

When asked why he would leave if he was not guilty, he replied:

“Because public opinion is created as it is by the media. There is no complaint against me, there is not even any accusation against me by the police, but the media created what they created, first of all social media and then of course the rest of the media. So that basically a space has been created here that I can’t live in right now.”

“In the end, we hugged, you said that we won’t see each other for a while now, because I’m going, but no, I didn’t have the feeling that Roman was particularly hurt,” concluded Smodej.

The police did not find Uranjek’s phone after his death. Smodej also changed his phone, it was reported in the Tarča show.
