Have you seen the new Beckham documentary? A Slovenian is involved.

Slovenian composer Anže Rozman is the co-author of the music in the new Netflix hit, a documentary film about David Beckham.

“I was never really a fan of football, but while writing the music for this documentary I started to really admire the sport and especially David Beckham. This documentary is not just about football, it goes much deeper. It’s about decisions, persistence, goals, sacrifice and life in general,” said the Slovenian composer Anže Rozman announced at the premiere of the Netflix documentary Beckham, to which he also contributed significantly.

He is the co-author of the music in the documentary, he created the main musical theme with a composer colleague Camilo Forerwith whom they work in the Los Angeles studio of the famous film music composer Hans Zimmer.

34-year-old Rozman has experienced a rapid rise and development of his career in film music in recent years. He studied at the secondary music school and academy in Ljubljana and at the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, and then in London during the recording of his final project for Berklee, he met Zimmer and offered him a three-minute piece to listen to. The result? Zimmer invited him to join the songwriting team at his Bleeding Fingers Music studio and he moved to Los Angeles in 2018.

Since then, Rozman has been involved in writing music for a number of major projects, mainly documentaries. For his work on the documentary series Prehistoric Planet, he is nominated for the prestigious Emmy TV award, and whether he will win it will be known on January 15, his birthday, when the current Emmys are awarded.
