Two people died in a traffic accident on the Gorenje highway, the highway was closed for several hours

As announced by the Kranj Police Administration, two people died in a private vehicle that overturned.

Two vehicles were involved in the traffic accident, which happened around one o’clock in the morning, one was on the way to Ljubljana and the other to Karavanke. The vehicles did not otherwise collide. The driver, who was driving with a passenger in the car in the direction of Ljubljana, collided violently with the fence that separates the directional lanes on the Kranj East-Brnik highway section. fallen passenger. A female driver who was driving correctly in the direction of Karavanki collided with it, the PU Kranj announced.

Both passengers from the first vehicle died at the scene of the accident, the man before the arrival of the rescue team. The two passengers, who were on their way from Switzerland, were citizens of Serbia, and it appears that the man was not wearing a seat belt. As he explained in a statement to the media Simon Sušanj from the Kranj Police Department, the accident happened because the driver was not driving in the middle of the lane. After the accident, traffic on the Gorenje highway was stopped for several hours, but it was flowing again around 9 am.
