A dramatic video made during the World Cup rally in Croatia has circulated online. Security guards and a policeman intervened in the verbal conflict between several men, which turned into a physical one right in the middle of the race course, but the vigilantes did not and did not want to calm down. The end of the video shows how lucky everyone was together. Just a few moments after they retreated back onto the grass, however, a race car flew by (literally).
The minute-long clip begins on a grassy surface where the spectators watching the WRC Croatia Rally 2023 were sitting. Two men in a black T-shirt and a red sweater are arguing, and a security guard is trying to calm them down.
From the very beginning, you can hear shouts in different languages that a car is coming, but they don’t give up. Two more intervene and passions flare up even more, the fight moves right into the middle of the road. Three of them land on the ground, more people run into the street, as well as two security guards and a policeman. Spectators whistle loudly and try to continue to warn of danger. Most of them then return back to the bank, and one of the brawlers continues the fight with the policeman until his friend manages to drag him away.
A security guard remains on the side of the road when a rumble is heard from around the bend. Panic grows among the people, and the security guard manages to retreat a few steps at the last moment, but slips. His colleague grabs him by the reflective vest, and then the racing car literally flies by.

Of course, the dispute could have ended much more tragically, which is why the organizers were also furious: “We strongly condemn the behavior of the irresponsible individuals shown in this video. These scenes do not embody the true fan community that passionately follows motor sports and competitions. With this irresponsibility, they not only endangered themselves, but also the lives of officials, volunteers at the competition and the competition crew. As can be seen in the video, the officials and our volunteers did everything to prevent this incident and secure the road, risking their own lives in the process.” their words are summarized by the Croatian media.
They announced that they would also submit an official report to the competent services and demanded that those involved be found and severely punished. “There simply must be no place for such scenes and for people who behave like this at sports competitions and along competition routes,” they emphasized.
