A remarkable turnaround from the Hops for their second straight win

After six defeats in the opening rounds, the Hops recorded their second straight win to escape from the bottom of the table. After a turnaround in the last 80 seconds and a basket by Cooper Robb in the last second, they defeated Rogaška in front of the home crowd, which came to Polzela with a good trip, two consecutive victories and the scalp of Helios in Domžale.

Hops, who only got their first win of the season in the previous round – they celebrated in Podčetrtek, trailed most of the game (by 11 points at most), but in the last minute and a half, after two quick three-pointers and a basket by Cooper Robb, they tied the score at 73 :73 31 seconds left.

The guests, who led 73:65 with one minute and 45 seconds left, wasted the attack, and the hosts took advantage of the opportunity on the other side and were very happy with two points after a basket by Robbo.

Robb also ended up leading the Hops with 18 points (6:17 shooting, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals), while Jordan Skipper-Brown added 17 (2-3 three-pointers, 7 rebounds). Njegoš Sikiraš scored 23 points and 10 rebounds for Rogaška, which played without leading scorer David Kralj, and Jordan Session scored 14 (8 rebounds).

In the 9th round, Hopsi will host GGD Šenčur (November 27), while Rogaška will host ECE Triglav (November 25).
