Frank Pierce is a night shift paramedic at the very edge of his mental and emotional powers.
The tense urban drama of the famous Martin Scorsese follows paramedic Frank Pierce (Nicolas Cage), a member of the rescue team, who is on duty at night in one of the most troubled areas of New York. Frank is already completely at the edge of his capabilities, as he suffers from chronic insomnia, and in addition, in his delusions, he increasingly sees the image of the girl Rose, who died one night in his care, in front of him.
