This weekend in Slovenian football, the match between Maribor and Celje will be in the center of attention.
After the sixteenth round, there will be a temporary suspension of the championship, during which the Slovenian team will be chasing a place in the European Championship. But the wait for the national team action at the weekend will be spiced up by quite a few very interesting matches, among which we can point out the Styrian derby, in which the leading team Celje will be visiting Ljudské vrt. It will also be hot in Stožice, where Mura will be chasing her first victory in history.
But that doesn’t mean the remaining three courts won’t be interesting; in Bonifika, for example, Domžalčani will be visiting, which will be a showdown between the two teams that were chasing Europe in the last round of the previous season. Radomljani will host Rogaška, which is chasing the connection with (at least) eighth place, and Aluminij will try to break the streak of four games without a win against Bravo, which represents one of the most pleasant surprises of the season. Due to the penalty, five footballers will only watch the recorded event from the sidelines, all of them have collected four yellow cards. Marin Laušić (Maribor) and Nina Kouter (Celje) will have to miss the Styrian derby. The people of Prekmurje will have to find themselves in the capital without Žan Trontlje. Bravo strategist Aleš Arnol will not be able to count on the help of Ben Selan in Kidričev, and Rogaška will face Radomlje without Brazilian midfielder Thalisson.
