The news of the tragic death of Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis Presley, who was the mother of four children: Riley and Benjamin Keough and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood, is still reverberating.

Singer and sole heiress Elvis’s of property, whose cause of death at the age of just 54 was said to be cardiac arrest – this is how her famous father suddenly passed away in 1977 – was known for going to great lengths to protect children from the pitfalls of the entertainment industry, had she loves them very much.

“I smother them with love. They are my priority. That’s what I’m doing. This is what is most important to me. I keep them close all the time and make sure they are happy and healthy,” she once said.

Lisa Marie is married to a musician Danny Keoughwith whom they were married between 1988 and 1994, gave birth to a daughter, Riley, and a son, Benjamin, and in 2008, with her second (and now also ex) husband Michael Lockwood had twins Harper and Finley.

It is in 2020 Lisa Marie Presley a terrible tragedy happened: her only son Benjamin committed suicide, he was 27 years old. His death devastated her, she spoke openly about her grief in public and wrote an essay on the subject last year.

The last time Lisa Marie appeared in public was a few days ago at the Golden Globe Awards, many fans noticed that she did not look in the best of health, walking with the help of a friend’s support.

Two days later, she collapsed at her home in Calabasas, California, and was rushed to the hospital, but could not be helped – Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley informed the media that Elvis’ only daughter had died.

“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I’ve ever known,” 77-year-old Priscilla said of her daughter and urged the public to respect the privacy of the entire family.

The eldest daughter of the deceased, now 33 years old Danielle Riley Keoughis a successful actress and director, for her debut War Pony was together with the co-director Gina Gammell awarded the Palme d’Or in Cannes last year.

As she stated on one occasion, her mother and grandmother Priscilla always tried to ensure that she grew up to be an independent person, and she did not feel the pressure of being a descendant of her famous grandfather.

In 2015, Riley married an Australian stuntman Ben-Smith Petersenwhom she met on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Like her mother, she was also marked by the death of Benjamin, who struggled with depression for a long time. Two months after her brother’s death, she wrote on Instagram: “Two months without you.” I would give anything for one more minute with you, little brother.”

In the upcoming series Daisy Jones & The Six, she portrays the title character, who Riley says reminds her of her mother: “I was raised by someone who cared about other people’s opinions. My mother was definitely an inspiration to me.”

Benjamin Storm Presley Keough, Riley’s younger brother by three years, had a striking resemblance to his famous grandfather even while growing up. He struggled for a long time with depression and also with public expectations that he would “make something of himself” as a member of a famous family.

As friends said about him, despite his own hardships, he was an exceptional friend who always came to the aid of those close to him.

Benjamin was the first since his great-grandmother, Elvis’ mother Gladys, who died in 1980, to be buried at the famed Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.

On the day her late son would have celebrated his 28th birthday, Lisa Marie wrote: “My heart and soul have gone with you. The pain is suffocating me every moment of every day.”

“Living on is a conscious decision, I make it again every day and it’s always a challenge for me. But I stand by my girl. I persist because my son made it clear in his final moments that his concern for his younger sisters was always at the forefront of his mind. He adored them and they adored him.”

Harper and Finley Lockwoodwho were born to Lisa Marie and Michael Lockwood, found themselves at the center of a custody battle when their parents divorced in 2016.

For a time, because of the allegations against their father – Lisa Marie’s lawyers accused him of keeping inappropriate photos of girls on his computer – they lived with their grandmother Priscilla.

During the covid-19 pandemic, Lisa Marie, along with her twins, adopted several rescue dogs who were left without a home, writing on Instagram that it was exhausting, but at the same time extremely rewarding.

The Presley family got a lot of attention again last year, when the movie Elvis, in which he played the title role, came to the cinemas Austin Butler and impressed the Presley women with his portrayal of “The King”.
