Nicki Aycox rose to fame in the Supernatural series when she transformed into Meg Masters, a woman who becomes the host of an unnamed demon. But if in the series her body was taken over by an evil entity, which was saved as soon as the cameras went off, the actress was not so lucky in real life either. Last year, a dangerous enemy, blood cancer, took up residence in her body, which proved to be too strong for the blonde.

She achieved her greatest success with the Supernatural series.

“My beautiful, smart, fearless, extremely talented and loving sister-in-law has passed away. Her husband and my brother were by her side the whole time Matt Rabb,” the actress’ sister-in-law announced the sad news, which hit everyone who knew her right in the heart. Also because Nicki, who proved at every step and with every breath that she was a fighter, left at the much too early age of 47.

I contracted covid. This was the thought of almost everyone last year, when he suddenly no longer felt at his full strength and was confined to his bed by malaise. In this general pandemic panic, therefore, even Nicki did not think that she might be suffering from anything other than the coronavirus disease, when she felt very bad and drove her to the doctor. “I got seriously ill, I was sure I had covid. It was in January and dragged on into February, so it was necessary to do something the last time,” said the actress last year, adding that she ended up in the hospital because of everything. There’s a shock. “I was diagnosed with leukemia.”

She had her breakthrough with the series Supernatural, and before that she appeared as a guest actress in series such as The Third Sunstone, The X-Files, Shattered Ally. She left her mark in the series Under the Scrutiny of Justice and starred in the films Blue Angel, Jeepers Creepers, Madness and Death on Campus.

She didn’t just want to wave the white flag of surrender. She decided to fight with all her might. She underwent severe chemotherapy. She tried to overcome the disease with a stem cell transplant. Despite everything, no matter how difficult it was, she remained optimistic. “The treatment is going very well, I am struggling with chemotherapy. I stay positive in the most difficult moments! I will come back better, stronger and smarter!” she shared the progress of her treatment on Instagram and on her vegan lifestyle website Cashews and Olives. But then, if at one point she thought she had won, the leukemia just sneaked up on her. And then she came back. Reinforced. And too strong for a star.

“The first episode I shot for Supernatural was with Nicki. She was a great actress and a wonderful colleague. Sleep well, my friend,” a roommate was one of the first to pay tribute to her memory Jim Beaverwhile the creator of Supernatural Eric Kripke adding that his chest was tight and a lump was forming in his throat at this terrible news.
