Celje policemen ‘caught’ a Romanian driver who was speeding on the highway at a speed of more than 200 km/h, for which a fine of 1,200 euros is threatened. They also dealt with a Hungarian trucker who had two tires completely destroyed and also failed to insure the load. He paid the ‘half’ on the spot.

Celje police officers detected a Romanian driver driving as much as 202 km/h on the highway from Šentrupert to Celje, where the speed limit is 130 km/h with a traffic sign, the representative of the local police department announced Milena Trbulin. The offense is punishable by a fine of 1,200 euros and nine penalty points.

They also stopped and checked the driver of the towing vehicle, a citizen of Hungary. As the vehicle had completely destroyed right tires on the 4th and 5th axle, it was removed from traffic. In addition, the driver did not have the load properly secured in the trailer. He was issued a payment order in the amount of 520 euros, half of which he settled on the spot. They also issued him a payment order for a legal entity from Hungary in the amount of 3,000 euros, and he also settled half the amount on the spot, Trbulinova announced.
