At the European Championship last year in Germany, Greece took fifth place after being eliminated in the quarter-finals, and at this year’s World Championship, Greece was eliminated after the second stage. In both cases, the ranking was worse than expected.

The 53-year-old Itudis will now be able to fully devote himself to managing Fenerbahce.

If Slovenia was looking for a new coach, Itudis would probably be among the candidates again, but after the World Cup, Aleksander Sekulić got the support of the top of the KZS and remains in the coach position.
