It is known where Slovenians will try to return to the elite

At the Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), which is currently taking place in Finland on the sidelines of the world championship of the elite division, decisions were also made about the hosting of the world championships in the coming season.

The Slovenian men’s national team will once again be ranked among the world hockey elite at the Division IA championship, which will take place from April 28 to May 4, 2024 in Bolzano, Italy. Our lynxes will compete with the national teams of Italy, Japan, South Korea, Hungary and Romania.

The Slovenian women’s national team will test its strength at the Division IB World Championship, which will be held in Riga (Latvia) from March 31 to April 6, 2024. Our cartoonists will measure their strength against the selected teams of Italy, Latvia, Poland, Great Britain and the last-placed national team at this year’s Division IA World Championship, which was postponed due to the renewed outbreak of the coronavirus in China and thus played from August 20 to 26 this year in the Chinese Shenzhen.
