The Croatian Jutarnji list reported on the Smodej affair, which, in addition to the Slovenian public, is clearly of interest to our southern neighbors as well. The journalist talked to Zdenko Badovinac, a longtime friend of the late Roman Uranjek and the new director of the Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art.

But almost at the same time as his death, on August 20, the Smodej affair turned into the Uranjek affair. His suicide became the final proof for his fault. This is how one of the most famous Slovenian artists became a notorious sexual predator,” Badovinčeva told reporters at Jutarnje.

She added that she did not know what was happening in the Fotopub, and her longtime friend Uranjek had never told her about it either. “Roman was always respectful and friendly towards me. But maybe he wasn’t like that towards everyone. When we talk about sexual violence, it is necessary to condemn everyone, I have zero tolerance for that,” emphasized the new director of the Zagreb museum.
