After a long and difficult illness, the legendary Croatian singer died at the age of 74 Milo Hrnić, Croatian media reports. In his long musical career, Hrnić released 20 albums and more than 200 songs.

He won for the first time at the Festival of Pop Music in Split in 1982. He celebrated with a well-known composition Come back. The following year, he took home the song prize Dalmatia, Love is eternal. In 1987, he was again declared the winner with the song Good evening friends. It was also the song he always started his concerts with. The compositions with which he celebrated at the Split festival are still playing on radio stations today.

“I could be richer if I sang on playback, but I didn’t want to, because without live performance, there is no art,” he said. In an interview with Dubrovački dnevnik in 2018, he said that it happened to him that the audience sang his songs so loudly that they drowned him out. This is said to have happened especially at concerts attended by young people. Why? Hrnić was convinced that it was because his music had ‘good vibes’.
