3.5 million euros were collected at the match of legends for flood victims in Slovenia

Football stars, led by the president of the European Football Association UEFA, Aleksandar Čeferin, who initiated the campaign, played a charity match in Stožice for the victims of the August floods in Slovenia. As reported by the portal 24ur.com, they collected 3,512,031.34 at the charity event.

“I would like to thank everyone who helped, everyone who bought tickets, everyone who donated, and especially all the friends at the game,” said Čeferin before the start of the spectacle.

During the match, which lasted twice for 30 minutes, many stars of the football world presented themselves on the conical green, and in the stands there were also 1,600 representatives of civil protection, firefighters and soldiers who helped those affected by the floods in August.

The blue team, led by the coach of the Slovenian national football team, Matjaž Kek, included Gianluigi Buffon, captain Paolo Maldini, Eric Abidal, Vedran Ćorluka, surprise Zlatan Ibrahimović (he initially wore the captain’s armband instead of Maldini), Javier Zanetti, Davor Šuker, Zvonimir Boban, Clarence Seedorf, Miran Pavlin, Predrag Mijatović, Miroslav Klose, Dimitar Berbatov, Boštjan Cesar, Levan Kobiašvili, Milivoje Novaković and Marcos Tavares.

David James, Dario Srna, Nemanja Vidić, Mikael Silvestre, Branko Ilić, Aljoša Asanović, Robert Pires, captain Luis Figo, Oliver Bierhoff, Andrej Ševčenko, Milenko Aćimović played in the red team, led by the legendary Italian strategist Fabio Capello. , Hamit Altintop, Mišo Brečko, Bojan Jokić, Robert Koren, Dejan Savičević, Mario Mandžukić, Giorgios Karagunis and Ivica Olić.
